Nike Premier II Football Boots

We take a look at the new Nike Premier II football boots that take inspiration from Ronaldinhos boots from 2006 but with an inverted colour scheme.

Love a classic football boot? Well, you could be in for a treat with the new Nike Premier II boots that have been released in Metalic vivid gold/white. These beauties are crafted from soft kangaroo leather and are specifically made for those players who aren’t looking to get fancy but love a timeless classic aesthetic.

Although they lack some of the ‘technology’ of some of the new boots they more than makeup for it in performance and out of the box comfort. The boot features some really appealing nostalgic features to bring back that classic football feel.

The tongue is new from Nike and is a silhouette from the Totti, Ronaldinho Touch of Gold and Air Zoom Legend II boots. They also feature a new heel block with branding that takes inspiration for the 1994 Tiempo Premier boots.

Inspired by Ronaldinho

As you’ve probably already noticed the colourway on these is definitely a nod to the legendary Air Legend Tiempo colourway that Brazilian Legend Ronaldinho wore in 2006.

As you can see there are definitely some differences between the two boots. Firstly the colours are reversed between the two boots with the gold replacing the white and vice-versa on the Premier II’s. This creates a unique boot that will definitely make sure you stand out on the pitch. Needless to say, you need to be something special to wear these on match day!

My overall opinion on these is definitely a positive one. I’m a big fan of the classic design and I like to see designers taking a step back and revisiting the classics of day gone. I don’t think I could pull them off myself but I’m sure some of wannabe Ronaldinho’s will be itching to pick your self a pair up.
